Asia Poly Holdings Berhad (“APHB”) was incorporated on 20 June 2003 as an investment holding company of the Asia Poly Group in conjunction with the Group’s successful listing on the MESDAQ Market (now known as ACE Market) of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad on 26 October 2005.   The central and foremost business of the Asia Poly Group, which is the manufacture of cast acrylic sheets is performed by its wholly owned subsidiary, Asia Poly Industrial Sdn Bhd.

Although Asia Poly Industrial was incorporated in December 1984, it commenced operations as a cast acrylic sheet manufacturer in 1992, with the establishment of a joint venture between a group of Taiwanese and several Malaysian investors. In April 1998, Asia Poly Industrial became a fully Malaysian-owned company.

 

Operations first commenced in 1992 in the 19,000 square meter factory at Kapar in Klang, Selangor with only one production line and with a capacity of 200 metric tonnes per month. Over the years, production capacity was consistently increased and reached 600 metric tones per month by December 2007. This significant increase was contributed by firm resolve of the management, together with highly motivated and experienced staff, who continuously strive to find new and innovative ways to enhance productivity, efficiency and quality.

 

However, on 25 December 2007 disaster struck when the factory was severely damaged by fire, resulting in a cessation of manufacturing operations for 15 months. Asia Poly Industrial immediately embarked on the rebuilding of its destroyed factory and manufacturing facilities. The new factory was commissioned on 1 April 2009. It contains state-of the-art equipment and machinery and streamlined production line lay-out and workflow processes, capable of producing circa 700 metric tonnes per month. In addition, a significant amount has been invested for R&D efforts in product improvement and development.

 

Through-out its history and more so today, Asia Poly Industrial has prided itself with production of top quality cell cast acrylic sheets using only the purest raw materials sourced from reputable and reliable suppliers. Today, Asia Poly Industrial has established itself as the premier and most advanced cell cast acrylic sheet manufacturer in Malaysia. Its registered trademark comes associated with the promise of assurance of quality and nothing less.
